Brainpan 1 – A Walkthrough

Hello and Tashi Delek!

I had an opportunity to smash stack sometime back like probably 5 years ago. And it won’t be a lie to say that my skill in this area got mummified by me though unintentionally.  I felt it is high time for me to undust the skill which I already have even if the haste of life is not allowing me to pickup new skills..(feeling kind of wise, is it cause I am getting older? lol)

Recently I got few projects and it appears to me that the income of it may allow me to have two or three months at ease therefore, I am going to takeup one of my dream course i.e. PWK (Penetration Testing with Kali Linux) by Offsec.

I must admit that I am frugal when it comes to buy cloths or any fancy stuffs.. but I spend rather lavishly when it comes to food(I am a veg and left drinking sometime back) and education.

OtterCTF 2018 Memory Forensic Walkthrough

Hola!

I know they are not many reader to this blog apart from some occasional spammer therefore, the entire writeup was done in a way that it’s more of record keeping than for a potential reader.

By the way, I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all the friends I met at IFF (this is my second time) and Coconet, and to all my mentors in India and abroad, who has guided me and encouraged me to follow my dream!

Please bear with my lousy English and you might not believe that I was once selected as one of the top six Tibetan students to study in U.S. on full funded scholarship to pursue double Master. Nevertheless, due to my shabby English skill, the opportunity was fallen off from the plate. Therefore, I already kind of feeling empathy towards my genuine readers 🙁

OK. I will cut my crap here and do the write-ups 🙂

Kioptrix Level 2, Walk through

Hello friends,
I have prepared cold noodle for the lunch today and after having the lunch, I fire up my Kali Linux Machine and the Kioptrix level 02, as ritual.
Of course, I think it is customary that you have to know the IP addresses of the Kali Machine and the Target or the Kioptrix Machine.
Since I like to do SSH from my Mac to Kali so, on Kali, I have to initiate the SSH server service.
i) /etc/init.d/ssh start

ii) ifconfig

Kioptrix Level 1 (Through Samba)

Hello there,

Last time, I got the “ROOT” through Apache vulnerability using an exploit called “OpenFuck”.

Since I used to carry lunch box at the workplace, therefore, I get ample of time during the lunch-break for leisure. Thought to try out with other services such as “Samba”.
